** If your club is looking to host a camp or clinic, please contact the FLYFCL Executive Board during the planning! For 2025, camps/clinics/competitions held outside of our regular season will not be covered by or sanctioned FLYFCL Insurance.

2025 Cheerleading Eligibility Rules  (page 16 in the FLYFCL rule book) 

PLAYER ROSTERS & ELIGIBILITY
Cheerleader ages are based on their age as of December 1st of the current year.
No player is eligible under 5 years old unless entering kindergarten and must turn 5 years old before December 1st.

Rostering to a cheerleading team will be determined by the participant’s school grade as of September of the current season:
A Team: Grades 7 and 8
B Team: Grades 5 and 6
C Team: Grades 3 and 4
Flag Team: Kindergarten, Grades 1 and 2

Special circumstances may be brought to the FLYFCL board for consideration as necessary, but otherwise no athlete will be moved up or down from their grade appropriate level. Having an A team is optional and the choice is up to each club’s board of directors. A team cheerleaders will cheer with B team cheerleaders for B team football games.

 No tryouts will be permitted.
